1. Important Agreement
These Terms and Conditions form an agreement between you and PC Fix London for any repair, diagnostic, upgrade, maintenance, software or related technical service we provide. These terms apply mainly to repairs that are not covered under manufacturer warranty, extended warranty, insurance or statutory consumer rights unless clearly stated otherwise.
2. Your Consumer Rights
Nothing written in these terms is meant to limit or remove your rights under UK consumer law. This includes the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Your statutory rights always remain valid and protected.
3. Repair Services
We will inspect and repair your device based on the fault you describe and anything else we discover during diagnosis. We always try to complete repairs with reasonable care and proper skill, but sometimes faults are not always straightforward.
Any estimate given before inspection is only a rough guide. If we find additional faults, hidden damage or extra parts are needed, we will contact you before continuing where possible. Sometimes things only become clear after opening the device.
4. Software, Updates and Compatibility
During repair or diagnostics we may install drivers, windows updates, firmware or even reinstall software if required. We cannot guarantee that all previous apps, programs or accessories will remain fully compatible after this, especially older software.
5. Data Backup and Data Loss
You are responsible for backing up all your data before giving us your device. This includes documents, emails, photos, passwords and anything important. Even if the device seems fine, issues can happen during repair.
Repair work may involve resets, part replacements or testing which can lead to data loss or corruption. PC Fix London is not responsible for loss of data, accounts or software access in any situation.
6. Data Transfer Services
If requested, we may try to transfer your data from one device to another. This is always done on best effort basis and cannot be guaranteed 100%.
Some files or programs may not transfer correctly or at all. We also do not keep copies of your data unless it is specifically agreed for short term backup.
7. Parts and Labour
Repairs may involve replacement parts and labour. We may use new, refurbished or compatible parts depending on availability and the type of repair. In most cases we try to use high quality or original parts where possible.
Removed parts may be kept by us unless you request them back before repair is completed and it is practical to return them.
8. Service Options
We provide repair services mainly within London, United Kingdom. Our available service options may include:
- Walk-in or workshop repair service Mon-Fri 10am-6pm
- Collection and return service within London where available
- Mail-in repair from across the UK
9. No Fix No Fee Guarantee
No Fix No Fee Guarantee only applies if client agrees to the given estimate and we fail to fix the device within agreed budget, in that case you will not be charged.
10. Service Exclusions
We may refuse or limit service in some situations where repair is not possible or too risky such as:
- Liquid damage or heavy corrosion
- Severe physical damage or missing parts
- Previous repair attempts or modifications
- Serial numbers removed or altered
- Electrical damage or power surge faults
- Illegal content or unsafe devices
17. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms removes liability where it is not allowed by law. However, PC Fix London is not responsible for loss of data, loss of business or indirect damages. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for that specific service.
